North Oak Park Community Build Day

The City of Hammond would like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers of  the North Oak Playground Community Build that took place May 13–14, 2016.  More than 75 volunteers from the Hammond community turned out for the build days—working together to assemble the 1,500-square-foot playground far ahead of schedule and helping to pick up litter around North Oak Park. The completed playground will open Sunday, May 29, 2016.  A very special thank you to all of our sponsors:

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705 (B) that a public hearing of the Hammond City Council will be held at its regular meeting place, Louis J. Tallo Building, located at 312 East Charles Street, Hammond La., on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $4,162,506.00, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $15,118.00.

Request for Comments
on the Proposed DBE Goal of Hammond Northshore Regional Airport

Hammond Northshore Regional Airport, City of Hammond, Tangipahoa, Louisiana, proposes a FY16–18 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 11% for airport construction projects. Summarized below, this proposed goal—and the methods by which it was determined—will be available for public review from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday at the Hammond Northshore Regional Airport Terminal Building, 600 Judge Leon Ford Drive in Hammond, Louisiana (70401), until June 9, 2016. Written comments will be accepted until June 24, 2016 and should be addressed to both of the following and reference “Hammond Northshore Regional Airport FY16–18 DBE Goal:”
