What We Do:

The City of Hammond’s Purchasing Department Mission is to procure the goods and services needed in an efficient and cost-effective manner in compliance with City of Hammond and State of Louisiana Procurement Laws, Rules and Regulations.

The Purchasing Department provides a unified purchasing system that ensures integrity and fairness, with centralized responsibility for oversight of solicitation, vendor selection, negotiation, award, contract management, reporting, and disposal of surplus property.
