The City of Hammond would like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers of the Jackson Playground Community Build that took place April 4–5, 2014. In spite of a heavy downpour Friday, more than 90 volunteers from the Hammond community turned out for the build days—working together to assemble the 3,000-square-foot playground far ahead of schedule and helping to pick up litter around Jackson Park. The completed playground will open April 14, 2014. A very special thank you to all of our sponsors:
