  <![CDATA[HAMMOND---A blanket of lights fill the trees in Zemurray Park, transforming a piece of Hammond into a Winter Wonderland, as City planners present the annual &quot;Holiday Nights, Christmas Lights&quot; celebration beginning this Saturday night.
 
Mayor Mayson Foster said the holiday spirit is never more evident in Hammond than inside the gates of Zemurray Park's magical celebration of light and holiday music.
 
&quot;Christmas is a time for hope, and this year, the City of Hammond celebrates the gift of hope by welcoming all of southeast Louisiana to our annual lighting display,&quot;  Foster said.]]>

  <![CDATA[HAMMOND---The City of Hammond will host a job fair on Friday, Dec. 2, to fill a number of open positions within city operations.
 
Mayor Mayson Foster invites anyone who is interested in applying to come by City Council Chambers, located on the corner of E. Charles St. and N. Holly St. in downtown Hammond.  
 
The job fair will be actively accepting applications on Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.]]>

  <![CDATA[HAMMOND---The Hammond Area Recreation Department is sponsoring a new Jazzercise Lite class at the Coleman Street Gymnasium on Mondays and Fridays, starting this week.
 
    The class, which is taught by certified Jazzercise instructor Rhonda Rossano, is free and open to the public.]]>

BUDDY POPPIES COME TO HAMMOND---Hammond Mayor Mayson Foster signs a proclamation on Monday recognizing Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, as Buddy Poppies Days in Hammond.
