Wednesday, May 8,2013 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm, Keep Hammond Beautiful and the City of Hammond will be hosting a “Trash Bash”. Participants should meet in the parking lot behind the City Council Chambers on the corner of North Holly Street and East Charles Street.
Pick-up sticks, vests, gloves, bag ringers and trash bags will be distributed. This event is organized by the Keep Hammond Beautiful committee, the City of Hammond and the Hammond Garden Club.

Volunteers celebrate completion of the Zemurray Park Playground Community Build event Saturday, April 6, 2013. Participants built a multi-leveled jungle gym including a rock climbing wall, installed new swing sets, and two park benches. The new equipment will be open for play after application of a rubberized playing surface to the base and a final safety inspection.
